Atlantic Fire Leadership Conference 2026: Call for Speakers
Atlantic Fire Leadership (AFL) Conference 2026
Saint John, NB July 16-19, 2026
Every year, the MFCA hosts its Atlantic conference, the Atlantic Fire Leadership Conference (AFLC). This Atlantic conference gives all leaders in the fire service from across the country, many of whom are also emergency managers, the opportunity to convene for educational and networking purposes. AFLC has taken place for over 100 years.
During this event, we host our annual general meeting, memorial ceremony, awards banquet, and take the time to catch up with each other. We hear new topics both from within the membership, and from guests who may be politicians, journalists, researchers, clinicians, policy experts, musicians, artists, athletes among others. We also meet with our partners in industry who showcase the best of their products and services.
The conference committee is looking for the best speakers, with a focus on this year’s theme: “Ignite the Future: Investing in Leaders Who Inspire, Protect, and Transform“. Our goal is to emphasize the proactive development of fire service leaders—not just for operational excellence, but for shaping resilient, forward-thinking teams and communities. Leadership is a long-term investment with transformative impact.
The conference will be hosted in Saint John, NB. We look forward to seeing everyone again – including friends in industry, government, and members from across the country. We appreciate the time you take to present your ideas. Thank you for your submission!
All submissions are due January 9, 2026.
