Leadership Committee

The Maritime Fire Chiefs Association has formed a Leadership Development Education & Training Advisory Committee to research the leadership training and education requirements of the Atlantic Fire Services to determine if the course and conference content the MFCA is currently providing is relevant to the needs of the fire services.  Updates will be provided as the executive board and committee makes progress.  For more information email maritimefirechiefsassociation@gmail.com.

MFCA working diligently on leadership requirements

The Maritime Fire Chiefs Association continues to work diligently on the leadership requirements for the fire services throughout the Atlantic Provinces.  Over the past several years, the executive board have met virtually to ensure the objectives of the association are met.

 

We have held three successful virtual training session with Dr. Richard B. Gasaway on the following topics:

-Firefighter Safety | Mistakes & Best Practices

-Situational Awareness | The Foundation for Good Decision Making

-Training for Failure | Understanding Why First Responders Training Must Change

 

Planning is well underway for the 2022 Leadership Conference.  Save the date! July 7-9, 2022 at the Halifax Convention Centre.  Updates will be provided at http://www.atlanticfireleadershipconference.ca
